10.00 pagi : Pertandingan BMX JAM (hanya diadakan di Melaka,Sitiawan, Nilai, & Butterworth sahaja) & LTdL JAM 2011
11.00 t/hari : Cabutan bertuah
1.30 petang : Penyampaian Hadiah BMX JAM & LTdL JAM 2011
2.00 petang : Majlis tamat

SYARAT PENYERTAAN
• Terbuka kepada semua.
• Yuran penyertaan dikenakan adalah RM 20 seorang. Setiap penyertaan akan mendapat sehelai t-shirt “Yellow Ride”.
• Pembayaran yuran mestilah dilakukan melalui akaun Hong Leong Bank :

• Resit pembayaran yuran penyertaan juga mestilah dilampirkan semasa penyerahan borang penyertaan / semasa mengambil t-shirt di JBSN yang telah didaftar sebagai bukti pembayaran.
• Pembayaran juga boleh dibuat melalui wang pos / cek atau deposit tunai.
• Bayaran tunai hanya boleh dibuat semasa sesi pendaftaran pada hari acara sebelum 7.30 pagi.
• Membawa basikal sendiri dan dinasihatkan menggunakan helmet basikal dan kelengkapan keselamatan yang lain.
• Borang penyertaan boleh diperoleh melalui website Le Tour de Langkawi www.ltdl.com.my / Seketeriat Le Tour de Langkawi / Jabatan Belia & Sukan Negeri (JBSN).
• Borang penyertaan perlu diserahkan beserta resit Hong Leong Bank, 7 hari sebelum tarikh acara mengikut lokasi kepada JBSN yang telah didaftarkan atau pada hari acara sebelum jam 7.30 pagi. Sila rujuk kepada jadual yang disediakan.

Feeling the burn.....use sunblock

Don't only think of sunblock while on holiday at the beach , rub some anywhere(especially during KPLR....ask Sukri Siong....separuh sunblock aku dia belasah...(friend forever..x prob ).Never turn red like a lobster (aku jadi arang la...) or end up with damaged skin again. An info for all raiders(pembalap basikal)....

• SPF stand sun protection factor. To know how long u can stay out, simply do the basic calculation. An average person burns after 20 minutes. Multiply with your SPF. eg. SPF30 X 20=600. This means you are protected for 6oo minutes or 10 hours.


• Rubbing your lotion incorrectly may make your sunblock less effective. An SPF30 product may work like an SPF15 on if wrongly applied. So make sure you cover all areas with ample amouts.


• Tanning is the result of the damaged skin layer causing the bottoem of the skin layer to produce melamin.This is the darker pigmentation that you see.The outer layer of the skin dies and causes flaking and peeling.


• UVA rays are longer sun rays that range between 320 to 400 nanometer. SPF is not indicator of UVA ray absorption. UVA rays do not penetrate deep but can still cause damage in the form of premature ageing and wrinkiling. Some sunblock dont shield UVA rays, so check the labels.


• Choose the best sunblocks based on your skin type. Sprays and gels are good for oily skin and cream and lotion work best for dry skin.(if u don't sure.....let your wife choose for you...)

Naik Gerek Pun Pakai Helmet.........

Perkara wajib untuk seseorang yang terlibat dalam dunia berbasikal (MTB dah jadi trend niii) ialah mengenakan helmet. Walaupun benda ni kadang-kadang dipandang enteng oleh sesetengah orang tapi bagi aku ngan geng-geng MTB lain prinsipnya sangat jelas. "No helmet, No ride". Kalau JKJR ada lebih budject nanti....mungkin ada peluang la dapat tukar helmet free.

Actress Natasha Richardson had an innocuous fall while practising skiing on the beginner’s slope. She was reported to have not lost consciousness and was able to laugh off the whole incident soon after. An ambulance that was summoned to the scene was turned back when she appeared to have fully recovered.

But this soon changed an hour later when she developed headaches and appeared disorientated. Within 1 day, she was dead. What was the cause?
Doctors following this case were not surprised at the autopsy results - epidural hematoma, caused by a blunt injury. Epidural hematoma is a type of brain injury caused by trauma where damaged blood vessels within the skull lead to a blood build-up between the outer layer of the brain and the skull. If not identified and treated immediately, this injury can often lead to death because, as blood pools within the rigid skull, the brain is usually forced out through an opening at the base of the skull (coning)causing irreparable damage and brain death.

A feature of this kind of damage is the phenomenon called ‘lucid interval’- where the injured party acts and appears fine for an hour or so while internally, at the same time, their brain swells or bleeds. This is why people with head injuries are supposed to be monitored for the first 24 hours after an accident. Richardson may have had a better chance had she had taken the ambulance when it arrived and received timely help. In her case, she was not hospitalised till the next day.

There are lessons to be learnt here:
1. Helmets can help prevent this kind of injury (she wasn’t wearing one). This is the same reason why helmets must be worn at construction sites or on the highways.

2.After any head injury, watch out for severe headaches, confusion, erratic behaviour,paralysis or fits that may only appear an hour after; even if initially everything had looked ok.

3.In suspected cases, an urgent CT scan of the brain needs to be done. If epidural hematoma is confirmed, immediate craniotomy by a brain surgeon is often life-saving.

4.Most important of all, in head injuries, there is no substitute for immediate professional opinion and management. There are only limited things that can be picked up from the internet or first-aid books. Besides, this is a medical emergency and time lost is a life lost.

Kayuhan Tengah Malam Highway Borr

Rancangan asal nak kayuh jam 9 mlm. Pukul 7 hujan turun mencurah-curah. Tuggu hujan sereyat (berhenti) pukul 9 lebih baru berenti. Sampai kat R&R Bagan Ajam tunggu pulak geng. Sukri siong (JKKP Penang) mai jam 9.40. Sahril (JKKP Penang) mai jam 10.00 lebih. Tunggu mamat hantar pizza dulu kata dia...

Anyway kami start kayuh jam 10.30 lebih. Hangpa tengok la gambar kami posing selapas berkayuh n pekena roti sardin....
